Reflectoscope Information, Safety, and Legal Guidelines

Important Information:

Please read the following instructions and guidelines carefully to ensure a safe and proper experience with your Reflectoscope. This information will help you understand the potentials and limitations of the device. For questions or concerns, email us at info@reflectoscope.com. Usage Instructions Intended Use: The Cornerscope is designed for observing and engaging targets from around corners, providing cover and reducing exposure. It is most effective in close-quarter combat situations, particularly on a shotgun. It is not intended for pinpoint or long-distance sniper shots. Installation on Rifle: 1. Ensure the rifle is unloaded and locked open. 2. Verify sufficient rail clearance. 3. Protect the mirrors with a clean cloth. 4. Slide the scope onto the rail to the preferred position. 5. Press down on the Rail Lock into the recoil groove. (Loctite can be used to secure the Scope into place) 6. Check tightness after and before each use. 7. Mount the Cornerscope at the forward position on your MIL-SPEC (MIL-STD-1913) Picatinny rail, in front of any other laser or red-dot scope, flashlights, or accessories to allow for the use of additional accessories. Accessory Placement: The V-shaped void at the top of the Cornerscope provides an unobstructed view through to your front sight or use of a red-dot or laser accessory. Non-MIL-SPEC rails may require adjustment for compatibility. Practice Required: Regular practice is essential to master the Reflectoscope. Practice with the Cornerscope on an unloaded and locked open gun. Place the gun around a corner, point it 90 degrees to the left or right, and observe the target using the front sight to aim correctly.
Different gun models may result in varied shot placements. Practice with the gun you intend to use with the Cornerscope most frequently.

For Use on Pistol

Important Pistol Mounting Information Laser Sight Requirement: Due to the mounting position on a pistol, use an integrated or third-party laser sight to ensure accuracy. Without a laser, accuracy degrades, and is very dangerous! Sight Visibility: Do not use the Cornerscope on any gun where the front sight cannot be seen through the mirrors unless using a properly sighted-in laser. Usage and Training: Practice with the Cornerscope on an unloaded and locked open pistol. Place the gun around a corner, point it 90 degrees to the left or right, and observe the target using the front sight or laser to aim correctly. Shot placement may vary between different gun models, so practice with the specific gun you intend to use.

Looking in the mirror on the scope, find the image of the top of the rail or the top of your gun and follow it forward to the front sight. Keeping the front sight in your view at all times, focus beyond and look for your target. Practice doing this exercise before moving on to targeting. Use of the Cornerscope on various gun models may result in different shot placement from one model to another. You are advised to practice with the gun the Cornerscope will be used on most. Be sure to position the Cornerscope on the rail so that the ejection port of your rifle doesn't eject a spent shell into your face, and be aware of muzzle blast. ——————————————————————————- To use the Cornerscope on a pistol, see the “For Use On Pistol" section. Should you have any questions or concerns, email us at info@reflectoscope.com The Cornerscope is not intended for pinpoint or long-distance sniper shots and is most effective in a close-quarter combat situation on a shotgun. It is designed to be used to observe and engage from around a corner, in a fashion that provides cover and is safer than exposing your body. It may also provide an opportunity to clear an area before infiltration. Care: Avoid touching the mirrors with your bare skin. Use gloves if necessary. Blow off dust and only use a clean, soft cloth or material made specifically for cleaning optics, binoculars, or glasses. Only use a clean, lint-free, damp cloth to clean the body of the tactical Cornerscope. This will aid in helping the coating last. The Rail Lock system passed endurance tests of 10 shots using 3-inch, 12-gauge slugs. Damage may occur on a higher caliber gun or excessive shots with large calibers. Be aware that optical scopes require special care and consideration. The Cornerscope has front surface, scratch-resistant glass mirrors. It is as fragile as any other red dot or telescopic scope. **Important Pistol Mounting Information**: Due to the mounting position of the Cornerscope on a pistol, we suggest using the integrated laser sight (in development) or a third-party laser sight. You can use the Cornerscope on a pistol to see around corners, but a laser is required to create a third point for triangulation. Using the Cornerscope on a pistol without a laser degrades accuracy and can be dangerous. Do not use the tactical Cornerscope on any gun where the front sight cannot be seen through the mirrors, unless using a laser that has been sighted in and verified accurate. **Warranty**: Your Cornerscope is guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects for the life of the product. If you break your Cornerscope body, contact us at info@reflectoscope.com for a discount replacement. Mirrors do not have a guarantee. Rail Lock Spring Use| Loose Rail Lock?

Our Rail Lock system uses a proprietary tension spring to secure the Rail Lock “tooth” into the recoil groove. While normal use shouldn't affect its fitment, constant attachment and removal can cause the spring to fatigue and become slightly loose. To tighten the spring again, train the Rail Lock spring by holding for a period of time or training it downward with a 1/4” wooden dowel pin when it is not on a rail. Most users set up their weapon for optimal use and keep accessories mounted in that configuration. If the Reflectoscope feels loose, we recommend using Loctite Threadlocker Blue on the Rail Lock inside the recoil rail to secure it. Most Mil-Spec rails will fit snugly and should not have movement issues. Please email info@reflectoscope.com with any questions or concerns.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To install on a rifle that is unloaded and locked open: first, make sure you have enough rail clearance. Then, with the mirrors protected by a clean cloth, slide the scope onto the rail to the preferred position. Press down on RailLock into the recoil groove, check tightness after and before each use. If your Picatinny rail is out of tolerance, the Reflectoscope may be loose or have some movement. We recommend using blue Loctite to seat the Reflectoscope in place. We recommend mounting it at the forward position on your Mil. Spec., Picatinny rail, in front of any other laser or red-dot scope. This allows the use of other accessories in conjunction with the Cornerscope. The V-shaped void in the top of the Cornerscope provides an unobstructed view through to your front sight and/or use of a red-dot or laser accessory. If your rail is not of Mil. Spec. quality (MIL-STD-1913), then it may need to be adjusted, modified, or filed to allow the use of the Cornerscope. Some accessories mounted behind your scope may need a riser rail to sight through the void. Like any other rail-mounted gun accessory, the Cornerscope may scratch or mar your rail. It is intended to be used on a "working gun," not a safe queen or for display pieces. We suggest not installing the Cornerscope on a gun or rail that you want to keep perfectly pristine. If there is a protective coating on your mirrors, use latex or cloth gloves when you remove it. Practice/Use: Once installed, on a gun that is unloaded and locked open, practice by placing your gun around a corner, pointing 90 degrees to the left or right of your body and observe your target using your front sight to aim correctly.
